This weekend has been so much fun. I have been meaning to do a recap on it for a few days now, but this is my first time actually being able to sit down and type it out.
Most of the time I have been outside, so it was the first time this year I really got to enjoy the summer sun.
It all started with the Fourth of July.
We live right where the parade passes, so we were able to just put our lawn chairs outside and enjoy without having to worry about getting a spot.
It was actually a really cool parade. We saw some familiar characters.
And movie scenes.
Of course my sister loved the army themed float the most :).
We then proceeded to walk to the fireworks, which were awesome. They were honestly a little too loud for me at times, but that’s when plugging your ears comes in handy.
All in all it was a great Fourth and I loved being able to spend time with my family.
I also got to go to the beach with one of my friends.
It was also a first for me this year and we could not have been luckier with the weather.
It was sunny but not too hot.
Then today ensued even more outside fun.
My mom found out that there was a lake by our house that we had never heard of before, so we went on a hike to go and find it, and find it we did.
It was absolutely stunning. It’s so hard to find places like this that are so natural and beautiful. It’s crazy we never heard of it because it’s so close to my house.
